Student
Who it’s for:
Students currently enrolled in an interior design, architecture, or related program at an accredited school.
Proof of enrollment required: Class schedule, student ID, or transcript.

Professional
Who it’s for:
- Interior designers who have passed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification).
- Architects who have passed the ARE (Architect Registration Exam).
- Alternatives: May also qualify with 15 years of professional experience, a degree in design/architecture, and 3 IIDA member recommendations.

Associate
Who it’s for:
Interior designers with at least two years of formal design education who are not yet NCIDQ- or ARE-certified.
Requirements: Application must include a transcript or diploma showing design education credentials.Interior designers who have passed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification).

Who it’s for:
Full-time instructors, adjunct professors, and department chairs in accredited post-secondary interior design programs.
Requirements: Application must include a job description and verification letter from your department chair.

Industry Individual
Who it’s for:
Professionals in the interior design industry who support design but do not practice it directly (e.g., lighting designers, photographers, carpenters, dealers, distributors, product designers, manufacturers, acoustic designers).
Requirements: Proof of employment or practice in the interior design industry.
Benefits:
- Professional credibility and recognition with the IIDA appellation and logo.
- Access to industry research, publications, and A&D trends.
- Networking with designers, firms, and clients locally and globally.
- Invitations to IIDA events, conferences, and chapter programming.

Industry Corporate
Who it’s for:
Companies in the A&D industry that manufacture, design, or distribute products/services used by commercial interior designers. (Note: Design firms do not qualify.)
Requirements: Company must serve the commercial interior design industry as a certified dealer, distributor, or manufacturer.
Benefits:
- Showcase your brand through IIDA’s marketing and promotional opportunities.
- Increase reach and influence by participating in IIDA events, programs, and competitions.
- Use of the IIDA appellation and logo to distinguish your company.
